COMPANY HISTORY
Web Fire has been proudly serving the Wichita Falls and surrounding communities since 1995. Web Fire spawned from Mil-Tel Communications, a telephone service provider to the U.S. Department of Defense. In 1995, Mil-Tel bought a small Internet Service Provider (ISP) called Wichita Falls Internet and changed the name to Web Fire. Web Fire instantly grew and soon was providing Internet access and computer services to many commercial and residential clients throughout north Texas. Listening to our market while experiencing tremendous growth, Web Fire began offering telephone system sales and purchased a local inter-connect company called Telephone Service Company. This expansion allowed Web Fire to offer business telephone systems to complement the already strong computer and Internet services.
In 2000, the managers took the company’s services to the next level by building a CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier…AKA a phone company) and called it Web Fire Communications, Inc. This federally licensed and regulated corporation provides local, long-distance, and toll-free dial tone, high-speed Internet, VoIP, SIP and overall business communications consulting.
In 2009, Web Fire Communications, Inc. successfully merged with Secure One Technologies. This merger significantly increased Web Fire’s computer networking and video surveillance offerings. Web Fire is currently the largest, most diverse technology company in this part of the nation. Our innovative staff and our long list of loyal clients have made Web Fire the community leader that it has become today.
In 2020, Web Fire began to transition its “break/fix” computer network division to a “Managed Service Provider” (MSP). This proactive approach to system maintenance has proven to be the ideal model for companies wanting to stay ahead of today’s threat landscape and to maximize profits by reducing, or eliminating, computer downtime. The MSP model aligns our thought processes with our clients to ensure optimum system performance and output.
